David Schoen has worked at Georgetown University for 3 years, most recently as the Director of Operations for Auxiliary Business Services, and managed the University’s contractual relationships with vendors providing services to the campus community ranging from dining and retail to car sharing and the campus hotel and conference center. Prior to coming to Georgetown, he worked for 10 years in the
hospitality industry managing business operations for multiple DC area restaurant groups and brings a customer and user oriented approach to his current work in operational process improvement. David holds a B.A in German Studies from Wake Forest University and an M.S. in Applied Linguistics from
Georgetown University, with a focus on sociolinguistics, cross-cultural communication, and qualitative data collection and analysis. He is a Fulbright Scholar and spent time between his undergraduate and graduate studies teaching English in Ludwigshafen am Rhein, Germany.
